What happens during microneedling?
During each microneedling procedure at MiraMe Health, you relax in a comfortable, reclining chair. Your specialist numbs the treatment area and applies tiny, sterile needles to your skin using a hand-held device. The needles make tiny tears in your skin to stimulate new cell growth.

The specialist might also apply platelet-rich plasma (PRP) to your skin with microneedling, allowing the PRP to seep deep into the targeted tissues. PRP comes from your own blood. Your provider takes a blood sample, spins it in a centrifuge, and applies it to skin treated with microneedling.

What should I expect after microneedling?
After each microneedling procedure, you can resume your routine immediately; no downtime is needed. However, you can expect the treated skin to be tender, swollen, or red during the healing process.
